Title: Got My SG All Pigg'ed Out
Post by: Tricalibur on March 31, 2008, 06:46:54 PM
So I ordered a HSPig-90 and an Alnico V Warpig for my SG about a month ago and have finaly gotten them installed and tested.

The Pig-90 went in the middle position and the Alnico V in the neck. They both sound awesome and have massive amounts of bass, gain, and sustain.

I have recorded a bunch of sound clips with comparative takes on all three of my pigs (the bridge pup is a ceramic Warpig) and will post them in the 'sound clips' section soon.

(sorry for quality, I'm not so good with a camera!)

That's EVIL!

And because it's an SG in innocent white, that has got to bee the most EVIL guitar ever posted on this forum.

Is it a Gibby or an epiphone? Is that a TP6 tailpiece?

^ It is a TP-6 I believe. The guitar is an Epiphone G400 Custom that has been heavily modified.

That's really cool, I'm about to start heavily modding my G310 and I was wondering if a TP6 would fit  8)

It probably won't actualy. We had to grind down the inside of the posts that hold it to make it fit. Epiphones are on a metric system and the Gibsons are on standard I believe.

different tone... As you can see for the three diferent pickups, he wanted a big versatility on metal tones...

For ultra brutallity you just need one pickup: Warpig on bridge...

correction, 2 more frets, the bridge further back, and fanned frets, and *then* that guitar is a dream :) Ahh, but then you'd need thicker strings and lower output pickups... tricky! I think I'll settle for my axe :)
