Title: Eric Clapton Riding With The King
Post by: FernandoDuarte on April 02, 2008, 03:43:06 PM
Hey guys, probably discussed here before...
But I'm planning to build a new body to my Strat... this time with single-coils...
The tone I'm looking for is this:

Slowhand for the win? :D

It may be heresy but i'd say that Mother's Milks capture the Blackie sound perfectly.

I don't know much things from Clapton
Does this sound is the classical Blackie sound?

I'm not a huge Clapton fan either, but I think of the Blackie sound as that thinner, wiry sound he had on his '70s albums.

And I imagine the Slowhands to give that fatter, more midrangey tone he had in the late '80s and '90s.
