Anyone know if it's ok to upload Covers on there?
As in, your rendition of another artist's song.

I thought it was against the term of use.  I think you have to own the rights for any music you upload.

It's fine if you state that its a cover.

I don't think i've ever seen a cover... except for maybe hayseed dixie...

I too would feel a bit nervous about uploading a cover, as from what i've read they don't specify the rules on covers.

My bands site has nothing but covers on it. he drummer looks after it and I did suggest to him that it would be wise to make it clear that the songs are covers- pretty darn obvious but nonetheless it would avoid anyone thinking that we were trying to pass them off as ours. Needless to say, he did not pay any attention to me. Our intention was to use it for promo purposes only.

That is part of it Philly but he is one of those people who is always right about everything and has to have the last word. Combine that with all the drummer cliches and bingo-you get Barry bless his heart.  Alas, he is the only one who can be bothered to deal with the Myspace page .
