I got a Nailbomb for my SG in a swap with TomW for my Riff Raff which was awesome but it didn't have enough power for metal.
I installed it and it's all wired up as it should be, but it keeps squeeling really loud when you crank the amp.
It never happened with the Riff Raff and i tried this Nailbombed SG with 3 different guitar amps and it does the same thing, i have tried re-soldering all the connections but it still does the same thing. It's not like normal guitar feedback, it's a high pitched squeel and it only happens when the amp is at band rehearsal kinda volumes not at normal home volumes.
Anyone know what the problem is here?

It's unlikely, but the pup might need to be re-potted.
Is it a new pup?
-
It sounds like it's microphonic. Does it have a cover? If so, it may not have been wax potted properly...

I got it about a year ago I think, but never had any problems with it, so not sure what it could be. Have you emailed Tim to find out what he thinks?
Hope you manage to get it sorted.

I'll mail Tim now see what he thinks, it could have gone microphonic but i didn't think it would be very likely that it suddenly went microphonic overnight from Tom.
-
if its had a bash in transit its possible thatthe cover could have worked slightly loose

Tim said it's most likely gone microphonic, so i'll send it back to him to get it re-potted.
Cheers for the help guys. :D
