having an odd saddle on my bass was becoming a pain. anyway, i wrote to hohner and asked them if they had any stocks of saddles for spares.
a few days later they wrote back, and asked my address, said they'd send me a saddle for free. a week or so after that a saddle arrived from germany with a couple of catalogues. i had to pay nothing, and of course having the correct saddle makes it alot easier to intonate. and this with a 20 year old secondhand (or more) instrument!
these things - the nice service, the catalogues and a damn cool bass makes me want to spend money with hohner. if only they had a fixed bridge option and a broader range of colours. nevertheless, the silver looks pretty good.
i guess its the same with bkp, except swap the catalogues for this forum.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the instrument in the picture a guitar and not a bass?

I'm a thinking Gwem is after a Hohner guitar after that experience?
It does sound like you got a good deal there, such a shame there aren't more companies like this, and that we are almost shocked by good will.

exactly, thats what i'm thinking of.
i have parts coming from various quarters for 'new' steinberger headless guitar. after thats together i'm thinking about the hohner above. or a high quality copy, with the options i want.
