I am looking at a Miracle Man pickup for sale and since it is not new I want to be sure I am really getting a BKP pickup not some other pickup that they are selling as a BKP. Is there any way to tell?
Thanks,
Tim

Is it on eBay? Seconds Out? Does it show he still has the box? What is the cover? Is it open coil? What colour is it? Two braided? Four conductor? What information did he give? Got a link to a picture?

Does it come with any packaging?
I would check the packaging tallies with the pickup being sold to you.
Is it covered?
A custom cover is a BKP trademark in a way.
There may be some writing on the baseplate I can't quite remember from when I got my warpigs.

Also it rules out EMG and SDs as their appearance and brand labels are on it. however DiMarzio are slightly bigger in size, I think? Or maybe that's just the magnet. More the reason to be sure as you could get screwed over by some £20 pickup.

humbuckers have the "bareknuckle pickups" logo engraved on the base plate.

Here is a link to the image.

Ask him for a photo of the baseplate.

Good, I wasn't dreaming then.
