Hey guys.
I'm looking for a shaped hard case for my new Tokai LP. I've had a look on Ebay, and basically, there's that many options I don't really know what's anygood and what's poorly made etc.
Is there anything anyone can recommend for me to look into? I'm looking at spending about £50 - £60.
Thanks.

Not that much experience with cases particularly, but I do like my Gibson 'Protector' case, that came to about £60 on ebay a month ago ish, however, they don't pop up too often.

A guitar case manufacturer that seems to be well quoted is Hiscox.

It's £75 for a brand new one but they do pop up on ebay from time to time, like this one here,

SKB cases are good, I've got this one (or a slightly older equivalent, without the fancy clasps):

Thomann also do an own-brand one which is very similar but a fair bit cheaper. The main difference is the lock, which is utterly shitee, but I never lock a case anyway:

Hiscox is the industry standard.
I have two of their cases - And of all my hardcases they are probably the sturdiest.
I thoroughly recommend them.

Yep, you can't go wrong with a Hiscox.

I agree with the guys - Hiscox would be my choice
We have our Feline logo molded on the Hiscox cases we use - looks cool

I've been very happy with a pair of 'StudioLogic' cases I bought for my Fenders.
They are made in Italy from the same thick, tough moulded plastic that my 70's Gibson S.G. case is made of.
It's the sort that cannot crack ( think a cosmetically pleasing version of wheely bin plastic ).
The comfy handles swivel - and there is a unique hexagonal lock / key arrangement. Nice lining too.
I paid £ 50 each about a year ago. Soho Soundhouse where agents at the time.

I have to agree with Machinehead,
the Hiscox is an excellent choice

i dont have experience with their guitar cases but i have used them for other things and they are great guys. just thought i'd give you another option. not sure if anyone can vouch for the quality of the hardcases?

Has to be Hiscox...

I hear good things about Hiscox cases too, people at the Eggle forum rave about them.
Personally I have Tribal Planet GX40. Is it a hard case, is it a soft case? Who knows. Seems very protective and is fairly funky. Sometimes you have to try something new and so far I've been more than happy with it..... and so has my guitar :D

Hiscox are tough as nails and not too expensive - 70 ish

Cheers for the info.
Turns out my local shop is a Hiscox dealer, so I'll have a wander down on Saturday and see what they have.
I've also been looking at cases similar to my Gibson 1, but either in Tweed or **GASP** Faux Snakeskin
