how frickin sweet is that?
but, i dont care much, cos i'll have a maple fretboarded rhoads by that time HAHA
-
Maybe it's the cold medicine, but I'm totally confused.
WHAT?!!!
-
jackson will realease a maple neck, maple fretboard guitar in the japanese line of production early next year
that is all i know
straight from the Jackson/Charvel marketing

I nearly choked on my cigarette there. Customer service from a marketing guy of a big name manufacturer owned by Fender?
What'll happen next? World peace?

LOL!
Actually, I've had amazing customer service from Todd Binder of ESP US ... When my M1 was delayed coming into the US, Todd put my guitar to the head of the line and even put on a set of strings that I sent him. It arrived in NY ready to play!!

Afaik the PGM 301 is getting the wizard profile now :( :(
It used to have a slightly thicker pgm neck, I found it ok actually. The guitar itself got some ok tones when I tried it. Reverse headstock+painted f holes = mmmm
-
heh ...
is it wizardII or normal wizard? the normal one is a bit thicker, but still the same blocky profile
ibanez is discontinuing and changing the best stuff they ever had .. from destroyers, maple boards etc etc.. AND they are moving EVERYHTING to korea next year
-
The original wizard is still the best...similar to the super wizard...I stopped looking at Ibanez around '94 when they pissed around with some great guitars to make them cheaper. But I do have a pair of 1990 RG550s with maple necks!
-
I'm with HJM on this one, the original wizard neck was superb, I still use that profile for people who want a "fast" neck.
-
For me, the super wizard on my Prestige is immense, i've never ever held a comfier neck! everything else just feels either like a brick (gibsons) or like a flat plastic lollipop stick (other ibanez) to me. but yu know, i guess everyone's gotten used to the neck of their favourite guitar!

I NEED THAT FASTFINGER CUSTOM!!!! "you can take the man out the 80s, but you can't take the 80s out the man" Paul Gilbert... i think :?
