Which Humbucker in Ash Strat for Van Halen type of sound?
i coudn't found something in the forum that somebody plays an ash stratocaster. I just bought a Richie Kotzen Signature Strat (Japan only) watch for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abtWlCQZSIg Now i want to replace the bridge single coil pickup for a Humbucker. I play a James Tyler Mamywo Strat which i replaced with VHII Set and i love it. I also put Rebell Yell's in my black 72 Les Paul and i love it too, so i haven't a bad experience witch bare knuckle at all. Ive heard that Eddis Frankenstein Strat was an Ash body and i love his early sound. What you guys think which humbucker gives my kotzen stratocaster the early van halen type of sound? I actually play a bogner ecstasy head with an original 70's 4x12 marshall cab with 25w celestons greenbacks. In front of it i use an original 808 tubescreamer. Thank you guys for helping

To get Eddies brown sound, you might consider going for something around 8.5-9K. See if you can get an Alnico 2 version of a Mule or VHII.
