Title: Help getting Nuno's tone?

Basically, I'm looking how to get Nuno's, or John Sykes (either really) sound using the amp and guitar I have. I've got a DSL50 and a Charvel Star, and today it's just sounding naff. I'm thinking about getting a ProCo Rat, would that help me in getting there in term of Nuno's tone?

An ADA Mp-1 preamp will definitely put you onto Nuno's tone and these can be picked up on ebay quite cheaply. Best run with a power amp or thro' the effects loop.

Some amp settings to try that I found on another forum. Low almost 0 mids about 7.5, treble about 9, reverb 6-8. Might sound like cr@p but you can try it.

Rivera Knucklehead can also nail the latter Nuno tone, found on Waiting For The Punchline, the Mourning Widows, Schizophonic and Population 1.

No problem
Looking for £375 for the amp
It has been recently revalved with EL34s and biased and is ready to rock

I've just favoured my 6L6/5881 power amp of late - so I'm happy to sell it on

Oh that seems fair!

Well, I don't want to waste your time, so if someone wishes to purchase it, please don't give it a second thought and go ahead and sell it. If you have got it still in the future and it's still not being used, I may be very interested  :)

I've just discovered some excellent tones from my current set up in the same vein of the new Whitesnake album  :D
