I've never been a fan of Was Not Was but the backing band were shite hot on Jules Holland tonight - the sax player & guitarist really ripped it up.
Anyone else see it?

Bit late on this mate but I've just watched it (SKY+'d it).
I thought they were shitee hot too - backing band was top. Best band he's had on for a while!

I'm assuming nobody else saw it (or liked), but I was knocked out by the backing band, they can certain get amongst it.
Most 'backing bands' I see are typically scarily-professional and WAY too rigid. Not these guys - plenty of groove and cracking improv.
Not a fan of the band's songs, but I bet it would be a great gig to see from a musician POV.
Actually, here it is on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuWlk4xRVUI

The full show is on tonight so I will be watching it, I always had a liking for Was not Was but not enough to buy a whole album (have the same feelings about Prince)

Just watched it. Awesome. What was that strat? Looks like it was modded with some SD mini humbuckers.

Some sort of custom:
Covered bucker in bridge
Single in the middle
SD Mini-humbucker in the neck
Very versatile!

I had a text message about the Japanese Drummers that were on the show....... but it said "Don't turn it over yet, ****ing Was Not Was is on", so I didn't turn it over.
