Title: 'Low peak' strat pickups
Post by: great ape on April 23, 2008, 05:15:52 PM
I have a set of Suhr V60LP pickups that have a wonderful, fat but clear tone, with a little bite. They don't have that 'scooped' midrange that a lot of lower-output strat pickups do. Does BK do anything similar?

BTW, if anyone wants zero noise with their BK's, check out Suhr's Back-Plate Silent Single Coil system. Awesome.

Is this a question or an advert?

I think the Slowhands are meant to have a slightly more prominent midrange than other strat pickups. Woogie sent me a quick clip of him playing with his neck Slowhand and it sounded really good, not as hollow as a normal strat :)

cheeky! It's a question. And a suggestion. I have no links with Suhr as a company. Just saying that the BPSSC allows you to have true SC tone with no noise. It's awesome. Totally kicks 'noiseless' single coils into the dirt.

Will have to look into the Slowhands. It sounds like exactly what I need.
