Hi there,
Last summer I put a Cold Sweet in the bridge of my guitar. Now I'm slowing starting to use the neck pickup on some things, but it's just doesn't have the clarity of the bridge pickup. I guess the obvious choice is to pair it up with a CS neck. What do you guys think.
My Set up
BC Rich Mockingbird (NJ Classic Series through neck) guitar. I play mainly rythym (and slow more little bits of lead) in a rock band that tune to B E A D F# B (13-60's strings). I use a Marshall JCM800 (2203)head through a homemade 2x12" cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's & I use a Boss GT-6 multi FX pedal.
Cheers,
Simon

I don't have one, but if you read this forum regularly you'll know that many of the guys use the CS in the neck position... Check out the players section, there are some fantastic examples.
Mark.

I always find that lower output 'buckers work best in the neck for clarity. I'm generally not a fan of ceramic pickups, so it's A5 in the neck for more clarity imo. A2 and A4 will be too warm and fuzzy, especially in the bass end.

Even in a maple neck-through?
But anyway, I don't have Cold Sweats or a neck-through guitar, but I hear they make a good team. Everyone recommends the CS neck in conjunction with just about every other bridge model, so it's gotta be a good match for the CS bridge.

In my experience, A4 works just as well as A5 on the low notes. The Cold Sweat neck would be good, but I know that I'd go for Abraxas or Mule if I was in your position. That's just me though, I think I have a crush on A4 magnets.

Thanks for the replies guys. The neck version of the CS isn't ceramic like the bridge is it?

Will I be bothered?
Ok.
Here we go.
The Cold Sweat neck is A5. The only ceramic neck pickup in the BKP range in the Painkiller.
...sorry.
This is not a stab at you, mate, but I wonder how many times this has been asked and answered. I also wonder how many times Tim had to clarify this, so it kinda boggles me why it doesn't say in the description yet.

Cool. I thought they were A5. :D
Does anyone know what Breed 77 use in the neck? I think they use BKP's
