It seems like they're mixing a tab reading software with guitar hero, seeing as the fret numbers are appearing as the buttons. But with a song going at warp speed I don't think it'll be easy reading the numbers if you don't know the song. Which generally is what people look for. They don't want to slow it down and learn it. It's a game, it's meant to be amusing. Not another lesson.

But it's interesting nonetheless.

nobody is going to be able to do this, unless they are able to sight read and play at the same time and the game really isnt aiming for that group. besides, this is harder since there arent notes but basically a tab running through the screen at high speed. so if you dont know the song, you'll suck at it (very much)

You can see on the video how they've scaled the difficulty, just like guitar hero you have to hit notes less frequently. And most likely they will balance the frequency of notes with the distance between each on the fretboard, and how many strings are used etc.

It seems like a great way for someone completely new to pick up a guitar and do very little but still have an interactive experience while practicing the basics of playing notes and learning fretboard positions.
