Hello all, this is my first post, might as well get to it. Title pretty much says it,I love the invader it gets a little muddy in the low end. I tune to A standard and the pup will go in my old Kramer focus, yes its detuned dethmetal. From what I read Im thinking warpig. what do you guys say.I need some lowend clarity. Thanks

ceramic pig

I had the Invader 7 string and from my personal experience it has too much low mids and bass to be really clear, so I would'nt go for a low-mid heavy pickup. have no experience with the Cpig though.
I currently have a nailbomb 7 pup (tuned to stantard B) and the relative lack of low mids gives it clarity I would'nt dream of getting with the invaders. (BKP quality might have something to do with it though  )
just my share of experiance.

Yeah, its C-Pig.
But its not really 'close'. Its heavier, if anything, and waaaaaaaay clearer, and not brittle.

I would have thought alnico, I thought they had more clarity than the ceramic. Plus a little less gain than an invader wont kill me either, I have plenty of gain on tap. Are the c-pigs tighter? Thanks

It certainly is a very tight pickup, but personally found the C-pig a tad too compressed for my liking, but it was definitely something I could see a lot of people liking. Then again, if I were you, I wouldn't be going so high-output if you're detuning and want outright clarity. Not that the C-pig wouldn't be clearer than your Invaders. Tim also explained to me that lower tuning = heavier strings = more string mass moving in the magnetic field, which results in a chainsaw-y high-end.
I would definitely consider the Painkiller, and the Nailbomb (probably ceramic). Both ridiculously clear, and very very tight.

i use Miracel mans for my detuned death metal and theyre pretty good at it!
i see what what juust said about chainsaw highs tho, they can easily get over the top on the treble

I've got a Cold Sweat on my tuned down (B standard) guitar. Sounds very nice.
