Title: Quick test clip of Black Dogs doing some metal
Post by: Hansi on May 03, 2008, 04:44:14 PM
Finally got myself a USB audio interface so I can record some stuff and this is the quick test clip I came up with. Lots of f**k-ups and no leads or solos or anything but that really wasn't to point so what the heck. But I do hate it how I couldn't really hit the pinch harmonics well. :P

The tone would've been a lot better if I had taken the time to properly try and find better settings but maybe next time. Of course actually micing the amp would be a lot better than recording from the direct out...

So the recording set-up:
Edwards E-LP-98LTC (calibrated set of Black Dogs) --> Hughes & Kettner zenTera (SLO 100 model), direct recording out --> EMU 0202 audio interface --> Cubase LE.

Also used the EZDrummer Drumkit from Hell plugin for the drums and some basic bass plugin for the bass guitar.

EDIT: Oh yeah and the song is Iced Earth's Burning Times... definitely not my own stuff
