Title: Black Dog in a Superstrat?
Post by: Twinfan on May 06, 2008, 10:19:18 AM
Anyone tried a Black Dog in a Superstrat?  Does it work well?  I'm thinking as it's just a hot PAF it should sound good?

I had a spare Black Dog, that I bought by mistake (the seller told me it was a riff raff)

Spoke to Time about putting it in my supertelecaster (thats what i call it!); he said it wouldn't work to well. I'm not sure if the BD is designed for alder/ash guitars although on tims advice i sold it on so cant confirm.

I can't speak highly enough about the vh2 though in  a strat - that is truly awesome.

I've got VHIIs in my Jackson Dinky and you're right, they are great  :)

I was just thinking what to do with the spare BD I've got lying around....

Seems to me it's best suited for an LP - something fat-sounding but with a maple top to tighten up the low end a bit.
