Got a Fenix start copy (just beefier) with three stack HB's, but it's at my mates for rewiring so no pics :(

I'm dumbfounded as to why people have THREE humbuckers. I like them but not sure if I'd own one.
-
They have three cause it's more then two. Three has to be better. It's just like an amp that goes to 11 When you get to 10 (or in this case 2) you have nowhere to go! but one more humbucker or one more number. hey you go to 11/3 (PS yay for not having to type that annoying image anymore!))

Out of curiosity, what does the middle humbucker sound like?
I'm thinking darmer that the bridge and brighter than the neck? Or does it have some more interesting characteristics? And how does it sound when combo'ed with the neck / bridge or all three at once?
Just wondering.

That's what brought me to thinking "Why have three?"

I'm quite tempted by SGs now!

there's EASILY enough room for another 2 humbuckers on that SG> Just move the bridge back to give you a decent scale length (and a good place to pick from), and you're there :)
