Sounds great in my Alder Wolfgang.  Very detailed and defined.

I can't answer the basic question as I don't have any Ash-bodied guitars.

But I can say that Holy Diver is sensational in Alder-bodied guitars.  I've found that it's added a lot of "body" to the sound of very bright sounding guitars (i.e. my light alder/maple/ebony neck-thru Jackson RR1T), so if I was ever to get an Ash-bodied guitar then HD would be my first choice...[/quote]
