Right, my Misses and I will do a UK trip by car - exploring the landscapes, , historic views, guitar shops etc :D
Huge coincidence (really, not lying) in the same week there will be LGS. Now I am wondering if it's actually worth going on Thursday, paying a bit more but maybe indeed be surrounded by a more professional environment?
Is it worth it or would you rather go Thu or Fri? I am not interested in live shows or anything ... just GEAR!

i don't know which is the best day, but if you're in London and want to have a drink and/or try some Vs drop me a pm :)

I think Thursday is for trade only - not open to the public. I know that was the original plan.

from their website:
Thursday - Preview Ticket – This is for the hardened gear fans. A chance to see all the latest gear without the weekend masses and mix with the MI trade. There will not be any live music or seminars and ticket numbers are limited.
This ticket is 20 GBP as opposed to 13 GBP on normal days.
Thanks for the V-Offer, but I guess LGS is gonna stretch the patience of my Misses for anything string or tube related

Hey Hunter - would be good to catch up if you are over.
I do wonder about the quality of this years show due to a lot of smaller companies choosing not to do it because of the high costs this year (and not being allowed to sell)
I don't even think that BKP will be doing it from what Tim has said and posted on here. (I see that the show logo is now missing from the BKP website too)
Was talking to someone who explained to me that it costs the organisers many more time to show at Excel than it did at Wembley - but as they have demolished Wembley Conference Centre, it isn't a possibility to show there anymore.

hoolala, all these requests to meet IRL, the thought is scary somehow isn't it?
No it would be great to meet you guys. So Jonathan, you'll be there Thursday? Let me see, either Thursday or Friday it will be I guess. Will post updates soon.
Anyways, I am in UK quite a lot, but usually it's for 1-2 day trips and I am more around Weybridge for business than London ...
