Hooray for new strings, I got them through the post after coming home from my exam, carrying a Subway.
I'm also getting a Miracle Man set from Tim, so I'mm be putting them into my RG08LTD as well as this and we'll see how these fair out!
Here's a little info on them:

And a picture (my computer isn't recognising my USB so I used a picture from the net):

....carrying a Subway.
Too much information, Jonny!
You're obviously still in exam mode - "if I just put in a few extra words I can stretch it out to a whole side of A4".

You're quite right Philly, I have just stepped out of my Module 5 Biology, with genes and all that gobble-dee-stuff. And the last question was an essay. It was fun. Not really, but that's the natural sarcastic reply.
Hope you're good Philly! I'm extremely excited for some reason but should be crying to be honest as I have four exams next week in the space of 4 days, two being on one day and two other on separate days.
Yes, I have wrote too much even in this post! Hmm.. I'll be doing Maths on Friday so I guess I'll be calculating than typing- so that's good! Yes? Maybe. Hmm.

Depends. If you come on the forum after that 5p34k1ng 1n num83r5 or a(lgebraically), we might start worrying...
I am interested to hear how these strings compare to what you are used to, and other things you notice about them. That said, get through the exams, first - eh?
:)

Of course, of course. I've got Economics, Biology and Maths and re-sits too! My, my, it's a challenge. But I'm ploughing through alright right now. Three down, eight to go!
UPDATE: ALL my USB drives have failed! I can't even plug in my Toneport anymore, or phone, or webcam or camera. Absolutely- LAME!

I had an essay in French at the end of a 3H30 (net) exam where we'd had trouble with various tape decks not working properly, setting us back somewhat. Take that!
That's the worst of my exams out of the way now, though. Three more to go.
I always quite enjoyed biology out of the sciences I got at GCSE. My only trouble was that the names for various things seemed to come out of Dr. Seusse books.
Dr sterling examined the foetus
Fearing that it might eat us
he dug a great big moat
to thwart the zygote
and he travelled via mitoses
to the land of halitosis
where meiosis
would divide...
Oh this is
just terrible.
I'll stop now
I won't even take a final bow
But I have one less problem
What the $%'s a hydrofluorocarbon
When it's at home?
-
ARGHHHHH i've just F**KED UP MY GEOGRAPHY AS LEVEL! DAMN.
Sorry guys, stress relief...well at least my Bodenhamer Maxon OD808 is coming soon :D
-
Don't worry, I got a U for coursework, and fell asleep in one of my geography exams due to returning from Donnington the night before. Think I came out with a C or something
-
LOL.. I got CDDD in my AS (now BCCD due to re-sits and more re-sits to come)
And I know what hydrofluorocarbons are! Damaging the ozone and what not.

How did you manage that haha. I got F on coursework so I gotta get A on test and and DME
-
Is that not chlorofluorocarbons? (just tying to find the longest single word for something that threatens the environment...)
-
not to mention that a "hydrocarbon" with a fluorine atom in it is no longer a hydrocarbon...
-
CFCs is the bad one, yes. But -

!!!
-
It's poor nomenclature. I understand why they did it, to emphasise the dechlorination of CFCs, but it's chemically not particularly accurate. Tabloid nomenclature, IMHO. :)

They are my string of choice on my acoustic, where they keep that new string sound for months and months, but I'm not a fan of Elixirs for electric. They sound plastic, add strange overtones and rapidly get torn up by the pick.
-
Actually I really like Elixirs for electric, but my reason is perhaps out of necessity rather than choice.
With other brands the unwound strings tend to turn black and rough feeling in a matter of a day or so's playing, I blame my acid sweat, combine this with the very hot and humid weather we get over here and using them becomes an exercise in futility.
Elixirs however still feel good and sound consistent even after a month or three's use.

That's what got me to get them too, my strings on my Indie already look grubby, if these are good on my RG then I'll wap them on this too.

what next - New Pick Day?
tried Elixirs years ago, they were pretty damn smooth feeling! good luck with them
-
what next - New Pick Day?
Actually, I thought of doing that when I got my stone pick. I may have a custom pick made one of these days. You bet that will spawn a thread. 8)

Well, awaiting the music store to order in some Jazz III XL's. Fancy a bigger pick for a few things
