Title: Splitting a Nailbomb
Post by: Rainmaker on September 07, 2005, 02:48:39 PM
Anyone tried splitting a Nailbomb? What kind of SC sound would it give?

Thanks

My bridge Nailbomb has a splitter and it sounds great. VERY much like a single coil. The sound is bright but not harsh, and full of detail. Obviously it isn't as good as a BKP single coil but it's very close to a great single coil sound IMO.

I tried it, but it's tuff as nails. I tried an angle grinder, an axe and a chisel. Maybe I'll try to split an atom.

IMHO it splits down really well as both coils have a pretty hefty wind and the Alnico V magnet is nice and strident.
