Anyone tried splitting a Nailbomb? What kind of SC sound would it give?
Thanks

PS: everyone go check out the aged gold in the gallery *yum*

My bridge Nailbomb has a splitter and it sounds great. VERY much like a single coil. The sound is bright but not harsh, and full of detail. Obviously it isn't as good as a BKP single coil but it's very close to a great single coil sound IMO.

splitting a nailbomb?
pfft you should be ashamed, its not advertised as 'chaos in a pickup' for nothing you know

I tried it, but it's tuff as nails. I tried an angle grinder, an axe and a chisel. Maybe I'll try to split an atom.
:stupid:

IMHO it splits down really well as both coils have a pretty hefty wind and the Alnico V magnet is nice and strident.
