Title: Pig-90s?
Post by: badgermark on May 31, 2008, 06:34:35 PM
Howdie, I'm Mark and I love p90s. I've fallen for my MQs in a big way

Been thinking about trying out a Pig-90 into my tele in the bridge position, I've done some searching around but wanna ask my questions anyway  :P

So this pig-90, how does it sound when played clean? Does it manage a good clean tone or is it pure crunch all the way? Also, does it have that clarity and slight bite that I adore from my MQs?

Pah! you can keep your wussy Manhattan! I want a proper pickup, none of this underwound nonsense...

Why are the Pig-90 and Manhatten not on the product list?

They are specialist winds that do not cater for a wide enough audience to be part of the main range, I would expect.

it sounds great clean, as most single coils, and indeed BKPs, do :)

its more about the strong lowend response with the pig-90, it depends on your amp if you retain clarity.
