when i turn the volume right down theres still sound coming through when its turned right down.
any obvious mistake im making here? any idea what to check?
-
Does it mean your volume is getting less when you turn it down but it doesn't go to 100% silent? Or is there no effect of the volume pot?

Sounds like the pot is faulty or there is something wrong with your wiring (my bet would be the pot)
-
would getting an a500 and a b500 pot mixed up perhaps be the prob?
-
ive got
A500K FOR TONE
B500K FOR VOLUME
at moment

I'd say it's 99% just a dodgy pot - my mate's LP with those little EMG 25k pots used to do it all the time. Just get a new pot.

correctomundo!
dodgy pot. cheers guys. :)

sounds like you have alpha pots fitted at the moment.... why not use this as an excuse to upgrade to CTS or CGE :)

I think I have a weird pot too, the volume dies before it reaches 1 (or 0, depends how you look at it)
It dies around 3 or 4
