The guy took fate in his own hands instead of moaning, a great story of a Hamer redo:

What a GREAT story of determination - I hope he loves that guitar for a long time!
-
SUPERB story!!
What a gem.
-
Wow - nice piece of work
Shame the paint job wasn't good as the graphic looked great in the pics
(I'm stuck somewhere in 1986 I guess)

Awesome! You'd never think that used to be banged up with a zebra paintjob. (Not that that isn't a bad thing) :D
-
A Zebra paint job is great if you want to camoflage a bodgy job. Man did that guy buy a lemon. But he shure turned it into a gem of a guitar.

That guy starts every sentence with "Well".

Well so he does! That's irritating.

Well come on, give him a break. He did bloody well.

I read it over at Hamerfanclub. It really gave me Standard GAS
-
Good effort!

Fantastic restoration job, but to be really unkind I don't think it looks as nice as it did with the original factory finish - I love that bold orangey-red sunburst Hamer use.
-
Such a good restoration, i'd love to be able to do all that!

Nah i don't - looks like a cheap Epiphone
-
the restored axe looks gorgeous - he obviously knows what he's doing, nice job. the original finish was a bit OTT ('clown' tops they call them on LPs I think)

It looks like it has aged, like the 'unburst' idea. nice story!
