This is a kinda first attempt, didn't really refine the playing, just spent about 5 minutes dialing in the tone and widdling about before I hit record.
This is the Budda Superdrive, bass and middle on about 2 PM, Treble 11 AM, Gain 1 PM, boosted by a Box of Rock, with and without the drive side on, as well as an RMC3 wah here and there. Nova Delay in the loop. SM57, Space Designer in Logic.
Guitar is the Edwards with calibrated VHII set.

Sounds good Hunter. Maybe lacking a litle treble/clarity?
VHIIs are great thouhg aren't they? :D

Nice :) I don't usually like this kind of stuff, but great tone :) The harmonics sounded good.

Thanks. There is a moment around 3:50 where it really sounds like Gibbons, but that's without the drive side of the BOR on. Guess needs the "less gain" approach to be authentic.
@TF, not sure, might be the mic position. I deliberately took back the treble to add more emphasis on the mids. With more volume it would have opened up as well though.

Yeah, probably a low volume thing too. Sounds great though!

i'm a massive zz top fan - this is pretty authentic to the original track, with a bit of page thrown in!
