I'm going Saturday. Anyone else?
-
I would kill to go... :(
-
I won't be able to this year as I am gigging Saturday and on Sunday have to see my Dad-he has been ill lately abd I don't want to not go see him.
-
won't be going, wasn't looking too good for a meet up :( so i decided to take advantage of the good weather go away for a few days starting saturday :)
hope anyone attending has a good time though!
-
I always go Sunday to get the cheap last minute deals. Obviously this year one cannot walk away with anything more expensive than a lead and a pack of strings or something silly.
Anyway, Sunday again this year because I want to see Satch before it's too late.
-
will be there on Friday
-
I'm going on Sunday - meeting up with Feline and I'm gonna try to catch Paul Gilbert & maybe Satch.
-
I wish I could go.
I nominate anyone going to go picture crazy of products, artists and BKP members. Please. :D

I'm really not sure I'm going at all now. As a notorious moody bar-steward I think I might pass and do something more productive for my family.
I think it's may be a disappointment without the BKP tribe anyway.
-
Well I'll have a bkp london chapter meeting on my own then!
-
I'm going Saturday I mean what a line up:
Richie Kotzen
Guthrie Govan
Yngwie Malmsteen
Paul Gilbert
This year looks a bit special, last year was cr@p theres loads of music technology stuff there too which Im gonna check out too.
-
I didnt realise Paul was playing there :o I kinda want to go now, even though I know it'll end up giving me more gas than before and I'll buy things I dont need..
-
I went today. 10 quid for 5 hours parking, more for longer. Plus 15 to get in, thats a piss take.
I had a good go on the Roland VC synth thing which is incredible,
I was on it for ages.
I had a good look around the Vintage stand, for the money these guitars are really good I thought. Perfect for pimping. Had a go on a 335 copy which played well.
Got a photo of Joe Satriani when he was out and about. Also saw Phil Cambell of Def Leppard walking about. Also watched Guthrie Govan and Billy Sheehan ripping through some of Jeff Beck's tunes, amazing stuff.
Tried a good attenuator called a bluestone with direct out and cab simall for 98 quid, made in Scotland, I thought that was a real bargain and it sounded great. I know a few of you are asking about them plus you can plug head phones in to it and plug an ipod into it.

MIB 8) :? :!:

the first report of the show i saw said that it was mainly corporate types standing round in suits and that the businesses selling off small parts seemed to be absent
anyway, i would quite like to see pics and reports of the show but i know it aint going to be something i will be displaying at for quite a while ( unless you all decide i am ace and every young bugger in an up and coming band wants my guitars(they may struggle as the current waiting list stands))
yeah.... gonna be a while as current guitar shows go, still would have liked to come down for a look but my brother decided it was time to have his shop refitted and have a holiday and shockingly his shop is still not fitted since he came back from holiday!!

Hey, that's my Jet next to the Setzer Signature!
Has PRS taken over the LP switch and pot layout? Are they in for another lawsuit?
-
Great shots Johnny, I love the custom shop Fenders. I am using my old PC and they took a while to load. As for that hat, what was he thinking?
-
nice pics, thanks for those, johnny :)
-
I forgot to post them earlier. Those Gretches are so nice, I've been gassing for one a while now. They're very popular with bands again, like the early 80's.
Yes some of those custom shop Fenders are very nice but very pricey!
He should loose the hat and polish his head!
-
Good work Johnny! :D
That heavy relic Strat with a bridge humbucker is giving me GAS (shame about the anemic looking fingerboard though).
Why are PRS still displaying the SC Trem? I thought it was being discontinued.

Well, he has to put something on that shiny globe of his otherwise he doesn't look human. However, if he takes his shades off he just look like a retard
-
that fender...ooooooo it's nice...gas developing!

You're right about that fingerboard Philly - very pale!
That Singlecut Trem looks like a Korean SE to me. It's a new model for this year:

No, I'm sure the two in Johnny's pics are both US ones - one has gold hardware and birds, and they both have highly carved bodies with recessed controls. The SEs are much less elaborately contoured.
It's probably just the distributor diplaying old stock.
-
Good spot! They must be old stock, as you say.
-
OK, feel a bit of a dick here... who is the bloke in the hat?
And yeah, them fenders look quite... sigh... (don't like humbuckers on my strats though...)
-

Joe Satriani.
The other bloke in the other hat is Billy Sheehan, of course.
-
Ah... thanks for that sir... I suspected as much, but felt that I'd look even more of a plonker if I suggested it and it wasn't him!
Would never have guessed Billy Sheehan though.
On further inspection of the pics (I shouldn't have looked), I am having slight "Gretsch cravings"...
-
I would kill for the 10 top sc250 quilt its on the dream guitar wish list, a Tremonti trem in that colour would be even better
-

I was wondering who the tramp like individual was (ducks and runs for cover)

Probably safe enough Rob, we don't have too many bass players round here (and I doubt Mr 38th is a fan).
