Title: Painkiller and Rebel Yells
Post by: Hellbilly1969 on June 13, 2008, 11:08:58 PM
Evening All,

I've got Rebel Yells and a Painkiller in two of my guitars and whilst I love the sounds they give, however I find when I switch from the Rebel Yells to the Painkiller I find out the gain drops a bit, does anyone have any suggestions, as I don't really want to add an overdrive to my setup as I don't want to colour the sound too much.

I heard sometime a guy sharing us that Tim told him that the Rebel Yell would have a tone close to his Nailbomb... I believe the Nailbomb has more gain than R.Y., so could be a choice... but it's totally a guess

Yeah, pickup height.

The PK is pretty high gain, I'd be suprised if it were less powerfull than a rebel yell.
