She's been missing for over 48 hours and that wasn't her usual behaviour. She was found by a neighbour's kids. She was hit by a car. She was only 3,5 years old. She was quite the character and she will be missed.
RIP Louise.

Sorry to hear that Ratty. She looks like a nice cat. I know the feeling it's happened to me a few times too. Hope you feel better soon.
-
Damn man that's tough. My cat got hit by a car last year, luckily she was OK but I was absolutely gutted. Strange how attached you can get to a cat.
-
I am really sorry to hear that Ratty. I know exactly how you feel having lost mine to the same cause last year. She looked like a beauty . Thinking of you.
-
similar thing happened to our cat about 10 years ago, it's really upsetting. I'm very sorry to hear that ratrod... :(
-
I lost my cat at the beginning of the year, I feel for you.
-
Sorry to hear about that man. She looks like a short-haired version of my cat.
-
:(

Cats are the greatest animals. Really sorry man. It seems stupid in the eyes of others, but the loss of a good pet is really something you remember all your life.
-
Really sorry to hear that :(
I'd be devestated if either of my 2 died.
-
So sorry to hear about that. Cat's are truly amazing creatures that manage to worm themselves deep into our lives, if we let them. It hurts so much when they die.
One of my adored siamese boys died suddenly earlier this year. I still struggle to get to grips with the fact that he's not there any more.
-
Sorry to hear that mate. Loss is never easy is it? :(
Hope you come to terms with it OK.
-
Thats terrible fella, I know me and missus would be devastated if anything happened to our 2 kits. Best wishes, and here's to Louise, obviously a well loved pet!
-
Thanks for all the kind words, everybody.

My neighbours cat (and my cats best mate) got hit by a car and died over the weekend. He was only a year and a bit old. They used to chase each other round the garden and play fight all the time (I must say that what with females being more vicious than males, my cat used to win most of them).
That's all three of their cats that have died over the last 3 or so months, two from old age and one from a car.
Still my mates cat has just had kittens, so it looks like they may be getting another.
-
That is the trouble with cats. They just don't latch on the the danger of cars. I have lost two out of the seven cats I have owned though the one last year was the most painful because I was closest to her.She was the most affectionate cat I have ever had and I miss her even though we have two "replacements". We lost another to old age last year and could at least say that we'd given her a home and food and she'd had a good life. The little critters mean so much to us. Mrs 38th & I was talking over the weekendabout the one we lost to the car when she spotted me getting all wistful as we walked past the spot where it happened and she suggested I get another Russian Blue kitten. I don't think I will but it cheered me up a bit. I'd definatyely say to Ratty to get another though. They are not the same cat obviously but they all have their little ways about them.As I write this, my two are curled up asleep stretdched out on their backs and obviously relaxed. Both were rescus and were traumatised by something but they seem to be content now and we love them to bits.

Nicely put Ilyti, I heartily agree with all you said. I lost one of my felines about two years ago - and still miss her.
Our love to Louise, wherever she is .

Losing pets isn't the most easy thing, this thread has made me want a cat again.
Last one died about 12 years ago, something like a tortoise shell.
-
My mate has a kitten taht kind of fit's that bill. There's one of them that's really ugly that my wife wants....... but isn't getting.
-
Sorry to hear about that :( I'm not a big fan of cats (unless its a Feline guitar!) but its still always sad when a pet dies.
-
Sorry to hear about your cat.
Although I have had issues with my ex landladys cart, I kike cats a lot and would definately miss the particularly ugly cat that we have had for the 12 months.
-
Ugly cats are the way forward. They nearly always have been over compensated in terms of personality that makes them loved even more.
-
Really sorry to hear that. RIP.
One of my gf's cats died a few months ago. He was a rescued cat that was gonna be put down cos he had a broken leg. My gf's house took him in and he had a happy life for a few years but a sudden illness took him away. I was very familiar with him too so we were all devastated. We'll always miss him jumping all over the garden with a slight limp.
-
Again thank you for all the kindness and support.

We had an ugly cat once. When he was born and in his first year he was as ugly as can be. He was cross eyed, white and three different shades of black and his long hair looked like Einstein's hair do.
When he got older that all disapeared and turned into one of the most beautifull cat I've ever seen.
And he was definately the sweetest ever.
-
She looks like an old family cat of ours... :(
I love cats, even though I can't have one currently because of living arrangements, so sorry for your loss.
-
Sorry to hear that mate, it's hard when you lose an animal you're close to.
At the start of last year one of our cats got hit by a car, it broke her back legs and she crawled home. My mum took her to the vet and it was gonna cost £600 for the operation and we just didn't have the money at the time with it being just after Christmas and she had to be put down. It was horrible.
The bar-stewards still sent us a bill of £250 for keeping her in over night.

lmao, my next door neighbour has the exact same cat as the one Dr Evil has, that bald looking rat thing, it's mega evil looking, it's apparently a very very rare breed, but every time I see it I burst out in fits of laughter.
-
Be carufull with laughing at evil cats. At night they will steal your breath.

Theyre not really cats you know theyre evil demons.
Theyre actually closely related to those puffball cats that when you shave them theres nothing actually there thaey are simply living hair
