Title: MiracleMan tight metal riffing
Post by: hunter on July 04, 2008, 07:24:19 PM
These are both done with an open coiled MiracleMan bridge in an Epiphone Les Paul, through an OD808 into a modded JCM800:

Yeah.. you're definitely out of your comfort zone here. Still sounds good though, except a little "boxy".

I ordered some MM's the other day, I was a bit worried about clinical. You have shown quite an open, almost bluesy side of them :) CAN'T WAIT

Nice! Looks a little more like which tone I would like from a MM, usually guys here take a very scooped tone...  :?
My main idea of metal tones usually comes from Black Label Society's BBBB dvd

Hmmm, let's say "virtually yes" :O)

Fortunately the Axe FX let's you work the guts of any amp, so you can mod 'em yourself and tweak until you like it. Here I changed quite some things on the original design, more dampening in the power amp, higher presence frequency, higher highpass in the tone stack and some parameters that I didn't understand <LOL>
