im gonna buy a new LCD TV just for bedroom use so im going for a budget one, but i may aswell get the best one for around the price mark. So, if anyone knows about LCD's or has any experience with the following 3 then please recommend to me. Its going to be one of them so i just need a recommendation of which one!

From the few reviews that I have read about LCDs the budget end ones are pretty ropey - 32" screen is large enough so that you'll notice if the picture is cr@p.
Have you looked at Richer Sounds?

They do 'last year's model' and stuff like that from the better manufacturers - might get a better TV for around the same money.
-
personally if it was me I'd rather keep saving and buy something like a samsung rather than risk it on a cheap one with a dodgy picture, probably not what you want to hear but I thought I'd add my opinion
-
Do you have a branch of Richer Sounds near you
They seem to have a lot of LCDs in stock these days
If I were you I would want to see the TVs first to see what the picture quality is like
Not all LCDs/ Plasmas look as good as each other
I went by picture quality when i got mine (many of you will have seen it at the London Guitar Show playing our slideshow)
I ended up with a Panasonic which was a pricey one but the picture beat anything else hands down.
It was a plasma one and not an LCD as it happened - still looks good 2 years later

Runco :)

All I will say is dont go for the brand LG. I had one of their LCD monitors and it was bloody awful. Text was blurry and images were allright but edges werent very smooth so it all looked a bit jaggedy on the screen. Got a dell and thats much better but a dedicated monitor rather than a tv so a bit different.

Runco???
Is that a brand, a shop or an instruction?
-
Well im gonna go with the ebuyer one, theres a 10 day returns policy for unwanted goods so if its a pile of cr@p i'll send it back, i'm not really prepared to spend more on a brand name for bedroom use, thats a few hundred i'd rather spend on guitar gear.

All 3 lol. Well, not a shop. They make the best displays in the world.

Never use a tv as a monitor everything will look cr@p as the resolution isnt up to par.
The new LGs are actually quite nice in the pricier models the panels are the same as those used by samsung and phillips.

What is your budget?
I managed to get a great deal on a 32" phillips ambilight. It was actually meant to be the non ambilight model (cant remember exact model but virtually same thing without lights and higher response time)
There was a production fault with the tv i got (whistling sound) and every other in the store had the same problem so i got a free upgrade so i got my ambilight for £540 when it was meant to be £700

Well the one I got was advertised as a monitor primarily, but had a tv tuner/aerial input built in so you could use it for both. cr@p monitor and it wasnt even that good for tv and xbox :?

Save and get a sony 32".
Sony seem to make the best 32" but going bigger other brands are better.
I got a 40" samsung 5 series and i love it.
Samsungs are also great value for money LCD's

I always thought sony and samsung were pretty similar, I've not compared the 2 but I know samsung make the actual screen part for sony (I believe only 3 company in the world produce actual screens), in TV manufacture land, all the different companies make different parts and send them to each other, but a high quality screen is nothing without a good er, encoder (can't remember the name of the actual part)
can't remember where I read all this so I'm not 100% sure accurate it is

One of my mates has a huge samsung hd lcd thing, its so good for both watching tv/films and 360.

Correct - Samsung make all sony's screens. True in laptops and PCs aswell.

Ah thats a bit shite of them.
I will admit the old LG stuff is terrible but over the last year and a bit theyve been knocking out some quality products
