Title: very cheap, but very cheerful 80s superstrat
Post by: gwEm on July 18, 2008, 03:02:40 PM
picked one of these up on the 'bay for 88 quid + 12 quid postage. agathis body, 21 fret, single humbucker, hardtail.

bad news - its neck is rough and ready, badly setup, disapointed that its not string-through-body like the kitty strat
good news - its very orange

i plan to put a cheap 22 fret pointy headstock or 70s style neck on it. i think maple fingerboard might be quite nice.

really don't like the rustic feel of squier necks, its one is just about ok... overall, its a very entertaining instrument like my other squier.

edit: turns out the body is ply... arse!

That looks pretty cool,  really like that. I'm looking into getting a Squier too, have my sights set on this one: They have some pretty cool designs right now..  probably a bit "love em, or hate em" though
