This was the first recording ive made with my Holy Diver. All guitars recorded with a Line6 Toneport GX.
Nothing too great im sure you agree, but it just makes me think how i would have loved to have access to todays recording equipment when i was younger.
im no great player but ive tried to share what ive done with my bkp. i hope it shows it off ok. :P

How do you rate the GX? I'm looking for something quick and easy to record with and this seems ideal. Clip sounds great though, I think the HD is my favorite humbucker. So freaking meaty!

You not a bad player by any standards, you're certainly better than me. Cool riffs, and the tone was awesome.

The gx is a great bit of kit. For the price i can't fault it. I'd like the version with the keyboard tacked on. Or at minimum the one with a phantom powered mic socket. I'd like to have a go at recording with a mic. I'd highly recommend them.

I'm torn between the gx and the ux1 (the bigger one with the xlr). Didn't think about the ability to mic up and plug in that way... Ah choices! Good clip though, really shows how metal the HD can get, not that i play mine to that capacity...

Good tone and playing -solid rhythm work :) I've been interested in the toneports loads was looking at the UX2 because its got mic inputs.. cant decide whether I should get that or go for a proper mic interface like an EMU404 USB though.. I like the idea of having modelling software if I need it but I also want good quality mic inputs/preamps!

Great tone, song and playability!!!
(but it still sounds as a POD, I had one... buying a tube amp now)

obviously i cant remark on the quality of the mic input cos mine doesnt have one, but it has software vocal pre-amps in the toneport. i need to get either the ux2 or the keyboard version (a keyboard is very handy to use when programming the drums) because my mic needs phantom power and the ux1 doesnt have it.

Great playing, some awesome riffs and the tone is pretty good for a pod. I think the only way to get rid of that distinct pod sounds is to use impulses rather than the built in cab models.
And to tom
With the GX you can get an adaptor and use the instrument input for mics.
I had the UX1 which broke and knowing this i am getting a GX instead because of the £60 price difference.

battle metal lives!!! - I could just imagine one of those leather-clad viking blokes wailing away over that backing track, class! (love the tone too).

Must be the influence of all my old Bathory records. Must get my picture taken brandishing a sword.. hehe
