Now I just need to figure out which ones.
I have a 2002 strat (SSS).
My music--David Gilmour jams with TOOL (the more melodic stuff rather than the heavier stuff).
I've been looking at the Slow Hands for a darker sound, but what do you guys think?

If it doesn't bother you to cut the pickguard to shape, I'd suggest getting a HSS set.
Otherwise, yeah, the Slow Hands sound perfect

I'm buying a new pickguard anyway (black instead of white), so if you talked me into the HSS setup, what would it be?
-
For HSS you can't go wrong with either a Holy diver or Crawler. I prefer the HD. Slowhands would be the weapon of choice for the singles too.
I have a spare b/w/b HSS guard for sale if you want it, my next strat will be the classic sss config.

Don't do it!!!! (HSS)
Not unless you're really sure, especially if it's your main guitar.
Years ago I put a hot rails in a bridge position, only stayed in there a year or so. Same happened putting a neck humbucker in a tele - never gigged it again.
What I ended up with was guitars that couldn't do what they used to do, and although the new tones were very nice, they were "novelty" tones for me...
I've no problem with others using HSS - obviously it does a good job for them - it just wasn't for me... so - make sure you're sure :D
Otherwise, from other's posts in various threads recently, I reckon yeah, slowhands wouldn't be a bad choice, though I have no personal experience.
From my own experience, I don't think ITs is exactly what you want though.
You probably have already, but take a look at Tomcaster's Apache review: http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=13586.0 (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=13586.0)
I'm not suggesting Apache's, but it does illustrate really well how talking to BKP helped him choose a customised set that gives him just what he wants.
