Right, if all goes well today I *MIGHT* possibly swap my Ashdown Fallen Angel combo for a custom made 4x12 and Marshall VS8008 power amp over at www.phoenixsoundworks.com.  Now I'll be running a v-amp thru these til after Christmas (new jackson first pre amp later!) and I have the dimensions of the cab:

'The speakers in the 412 are the same set-up as mr Zakk Wylde uses - 2 x celestion G12 in the top and two Jensens in the bottom. I cant verify exact models without removing them. The cab itself is a heavy, dense chipboard construction. Dont confuse it with a 'home-made', this was built by a chap called Martin Nash, who obviously knew what he was doing.
 dims: 30' w  x  32' H  x  13' D'

That's what they sent me...anyone think it is a good deal..

And, what pre-amps should I really be looking at, preferably valve and under £200 second hand :)

I bought a couple of Soldano SP77s for under £200 not long ago. JMP1s aren't worth much more than that second hand. Or even a V-Twin rack. Watch for Engl preamps too - they're excellent and not too expensive

Cool, any thoughts on that poweramp and cab tho?

 Andy!

The cab sounds good, the power amp is OK to start with, there perfect at home but not a match for valves live! :)

-
I have a V-twin preamp, and it rules, i highly reccommend it. very good sounds from all 3 modes.

Ive got the opportunity to pickup up a H&K tubeman for £150ish...

I will also recommend the ENGL preamps. They are excellent.

tubeman's supposed to be good. don't know how much they're worth
