Title: NCD! <-- the 'C' isn't very exciting! Update: (shoddy) video clip.
Post by: sambo on August 15, 2008, 12:44:44 PM: UPDATE: Just recorded a quick (very) rough-sounding video of the amp. Excuse the rather dodgy playing and the clipping (I'll have to experiment with the positioning of the camera in future). But it gives you an idea of the sound anyway!

Just a little update on the amp front. Now have a matching Martamp cab for my Ceriatone/Martamp plexi.

Sounds truly awesome!!!! :twisted: :twisted: What do you reckon chaps?

EDIT: And I should say; I can thoroughly recommend Martamp- great amps and great service. :)

Tom: Clean to mild overdrive is great at low volumes, but if you crank the gain (channel volume really) too much it gets a bit buzzy and that's when you need to raise the Master (which is where it really comes into it's own!!!).

It was either a Behringer or a Kustom, Gwem, borrowed from a mate of mine. Had an old Fane speaker I think. 'Twas pants, whatever it was! :lol: :oops:

Speakers in the new cab are Celestion Hot 100s (G12 T-100s?).

And yes my rig (it's the first time I feel my gear is worthy of the term 'rig' :lol: ) does sound great now! Just been experimenting a bit and found the ultra-sweet spot for leads.

I might try and record a clip on a little video-camera if it sounds ok.

Now New Cat Day would have been VERY exciting! :) We've had a couple of those on here in the past, if I remember correctly.

Post by: sambo on August 17, 2008, 06:11:12 PM: Yeah I'll do a clean clip and a better overdrive one at some point. I re-strung my LP yesterday but snapped the top E within 30 minutes (doh!), so the clips may have to wait a while.
