Title: Schecter guitars
Post by: roland_rat on August 18, 2008, 03:45:24 PM
Hi,

I was wondering what people thought of schecter guitars.  Im left handed and thinking of geting another guitar, one with a floyd rose most likely Ihave not got one of them.  I spotted a site in the states that has a big selection of left handed shecters and will export to uk.  Got to be honest I had not given them much thought but the prices look not bad at all even after postage, duty and vat.  What are your opinions of their higher end models?

Thanks very much

Gareth

They're superb.

Things like the Loomis and the Hellraisers are built superbly, finished great and have top end hardware on them.

Best value guitars on the market I think.

Some people don't like the necks though, beware - Personally I think they're great.

+1 Ive got two and owned another 3 (which I was forced to sell due to circumstances) absolutely awesome guitars especially for the price.

Have a look around on ebay as their are some new british main dealers now since soundcontrol went south.

One of our old Guitarists was a lefty and he got a 7-String Schecter and was over the moon with it. Sounds like the same site he got his from. Said he would defo consider another one if he wanted another axe. :D

every time I've played a Schecter, regardless of the price, I always find myself wanting to buy one. I like the necks, very comfortable.

When I wanted a new guitar Schecter was sort of in there. They look great, lots of options and also very cheap indeed. Which sort of questions it a bit, in the end it was pretty much like any other guitar brand but I too got the warning about the neck.

I never got to try one except in a shop in Glasgow (the Exotic one looks AWESOME)

Good luck with your future guitar purchasing whether it be a Schecter or not :)
