Title: X factor
Post by: Ian Price on August 18, 2008, 07:38:12 PM
I am ashamed to say that I watched this at the weekend although this particular clip is just like a gift that keeps on giving:

hahah I saw it as well. Painful to watch. This version of the audition is best as it features a fine piece of rickrolling at 3:58

Cheers TOm - I had forgotten about the last bit. When Cowell walked away he did have a difficult decision to make i.e. "do I carry on singing and look like a complete fool" or "do I stop singing and look like a complete fool"  :P

Was awesome.

I watched too :>

Personally I think "Dreamtime" were better.

Another idiot X Factor viewer here.

It seems to get more contrived and set-up every year.  When that ex-druggie, ex-jailbird, five-kids-by-five-different-men, getting-her-life-together (but still hasn't got a job) girl was singing, I swear they put a bloody echo on her voice to make her sound better.

"I'm doing it for my kids" - what, so they'll be put with decent foster parents when you feck off on the X Factor tour, you... ?

Cowell gets his own way even more, now that they've replaced the (increasingly annoying) Sharon Osbourne with two dimwitted bimbos who wouldn't say boo to a goose.  And we'll get what we deserve.  Another Leon Jackson (Who?).

Agreed Philly - although I only watch it for the first few weeks when people across the nation make me feel sooo much better about my lack of talent!

It's the same cr@p every year but I still love watching the cr@p auditions :P Theres always some gold, like Ant & Seb!

The auditions are the only part which is a must-see. The rest is optional imo.

That's what I always mean to do, then I end up watching the bloody live shows too.  And even though they're driving me crazy with boredom and frustration by the time it gets to the final, I still watch it.  :x :x

I have no doubt that I will fall into the same trap. And I just know I should be playing guitar instead of watching it.

The worst thing is that these people haven't walked in from the street, there is a producers audition first. It must be gutting to be told yes, you're through, only to get ripped to shreds by Cowell and co.

True - although there is no doubt that the producers pick the best and worst of all auditions. The people in the middle probably get no look in at all as they don't make for interesting TV. The format of the show is always the same as well, show some cr@p people, judges moan about lack of talent, show some good people, judges are impressed, show some more cr@p people and then have a nice sob story with any of the panel and contestant crying before being put through to 'boot' camp. Finish the show with a few more clips of the good, the bad and ..........

I seem to remember them showing a very, very very short clip of one coming up next week. I have a feeling it sounded like the girl was singing some Kitty, so I think I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for that one :D

But this Ant and Seb thing was genius. "c'mon, move your body" HAHAHA

"Zoe attended an X Factor Live Tour show at Birmingham's NEC, in March 2008 and was spotted in the audience by Leon Jackson who acknowledged her and did an impression of her “No Way” catchphrase".

Wow - she actually attended an X factor tour show. That girl sure has talent!

My wife made me watch it.

I didn't want to.  Honest.

(actually, I enjoyed it, but felt dirty at the same time...)

I think I could really get in to the X factor audtions (not literally) if there are loonies like this on them:

Didn't think she was too bad a singer - they just ddn't like her attitude and decided to prod her a bit (not physically prod her!)

I watched it with my woman as she loves it. I had to laugh it's so toe curling. The holiday camp singer with a gob like the blackwall tunnell. Scarier than Shirly Bassey! It sounded shite.

Haha - the look on her face when they told her it it was more funny than serious was priceless.
