I've been lurking here for a few weeks trying to learn as much as i could, so i hope this doesn't come off as too noobish. after listening to the nailbomb samples i've decided that is going to be my bridge pickup in my seven string. now normally i would've just purchased a set, but i'd like to hear what other neck pups you guys are using. this isn't a reccomend me a pup thread, i can make my own desicions, but i'd still like to know what the rest of you have

Welcome!
The Nailbomb neck pickup is of course the most obvious choise. If you've lurked around here for a while now, I bet you have noticed that the BKP neck and bridge pickups of the same name are completely different pickups
The neck pickup is not just a lower output version of the bridge pickup.
Another suggestion that will surely be thrown is Cold sweat neck. It's excellent; clear and singing.

I have a Nailbomb set in a Les Paul
a VHII neck with NB bridge in a PRS
& Cold Sweat neck in a few guitars - although not with a NB bridge, I'm convinced it would be a great combination (& is quite popular on this board)
If you want some clips, I did a couple of neck pickup "shootouts" in Players...

The Nailbomb neck is a 10.3K Alnico V, I just got one to match my double screw pole NB Bridge for my Warmoth Mockingbird - see the picture (they are white not cream btw) . I also have a regular NB with a Cold Sweat neck (which I seem to rembember is an AIV magnet, but I can't remember the DC).

I have a nailbomb 7 string set, and unfortunately no other BKP to compare it to.
I really love both pickups. the neck is a very open sounding pickup considering it's output, which makes it great for clean sounds as well as distorted and it's bass is amazing. If I would use the neck pickup strictly for hi-gain soloing I would probably get a more compressed pickup.
