On a 65Amp Marquee head and matching 2x12 cab. 35w switchable to half power. 2 channels, no channel switching, no master volume, no fx loop just turn it up and play :D
-
Another shot showing my main guitars - Apaches in the Strat and Rebel Yells in the LP.
-
It does look awesome though :D Love that LP, too.
-
I believe the phrase is...WOW!
-
Beautiful !!!
Sound clips need to come next !
-
Very cool - love that LP to, it seems to have an interesting top. Have you got any close up pics of it? Sound clips of the amp are definitely needed.
-
That looks great - never hear of the make before, but I've lead a very sheltered life...
+1 for the sound clips.
Mark.

Here's a pic of the LP just after I bought it. It's a 2003 Les Paul Classic. They come with a plain top rather than the usual flame/ quilt tops you see on other models. It already had a new nut and refret from Feline when I got it. Since then I've had Rebel Yells and vitamin q caps fitted.
Clips are a problem for the forseeable future as my home studio has been decomissioned - DAW has now become the family computer and the money I was going to spend on a new dedicated one has all gone on this. Suppose I'll have to start saving all over again.

no channel switching, no master volume, no fx loop
I'd pay extra for these features.
-
Very nice indeed.
-
excellent. last time i was in edinburgh i wanted to try one of those, but the only one guitar guitar had in stock was broken... they're meant to be really nice. look very cool too. :)
-
Looks awesome, bet it set you back a lot! :P
-
Wow and ow! bet that hurt but in a good way(bet it sounds great)
-
how much???/(I am in Amereeeka...wondering what an embarrassing amount of money might be.... :D)

£2,300
I justify it on the basis that
1. the money I spend on gear only comes from what I earn from gigs,
2. I want to use the best gear I can afford,
3. If I save for long enough I can afford pretty much anything.
This was the best sounding rig I found in 6 months of research. The only one that came close was the Blackstar (another great sounding amp) but this one just pipped it to the post.
-
WOW would love to hear botht the Strat and the Lp thu that very sexy (and expensive looking)65 amp.
-
Gary I think you have perfect justification-if your gear earns the money in the first place there is no reason to be embarrassed. In real terms none of my gear has cost me anything either. Good on you mate.
-
If earns you money....hell think people have spent more on two guitars here before

Two exactly the same guitars for instance ;)
Well, there is nothing embarrassing about that setup, don't be ashamed! play it loud!
-
Didn't mean him but yeah he has as well think one on here spent more on one
-
Very jealous.
Gorgeous amp there, and have only heard good things about them.

My ears are burning ;)
Great looking rig Gary - I'd love to hear clips!

You're right. It's just that the kids start secondary school next week and we haven't even got the uniforms sorted out yet. Even so, gig money and household income are two separate budgets so it's completely justified
Tried it at home over the weekend but it's so loud I can't really get an accurate impression (definately not a bedroom amp) but I'm taking it to rehearsal tonight so will let you know how it performs.
-
Looks like a great amp and I bet it sounds great too!
-
these are supposed to be dead good, not tried one my self but i hope you enjoy it :)
-
Played it at rehearsal a couple of nights ago with the LP and all I can say is 'WOW'. Takes my tone to a whole new level. The only words I can think of at the moment are 'Big', 'Articulate, 'Defined' and other cliches. Sounds best cranked (there's a little demon sitting on the volume control saying 'turn me up, turn me up').
I'll take my Strat next week to see how that sounds but for the type of stuff I play (see 'post your band's set list' in time out) it's perfect. It's the sound I had in my head when I was trying out Marshalls back in January.
It's very loud, even on half power - 17 1/2 w? - , and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're playing live. It will probably benefit from a hotplate and, since there's no reverb, I may look into a reverb or delay unit as well.
