Anyone got  any suggestions on push pull pots?

We've tried all the usual suspects, CTS etc but find reliability a problem.

DiMarzio, actually, makes a nice audio taper push/pull pot.
Hard to get, in that you have to order them directly from DMZ, and then wait for their arrival. Even tho DMZ is in the next borough over from me, I still got my 500k push/pull from Stewart MacDonald; it was easier than trying to fill up a minimum order from DMZ.

TO, I have heard the DMZ push /pulls are good, I was gonna get some for the Edwards so I can try the JP wiring.

What is this minimum order all about? also would they ship to UK?

Tim, what are the push/pull's in your shop, out of curiosity?

I'd go with push/push knobs. Quicker changing while playing.

Excuse my ignorance but... :roll:

How does a push/push differ from a push/pull, it def. sounds like a better idea.

Push/Push - you push it once to engage, push again to disengage.. on my Ibanez, you can't tell if it's on or off without listening, but some designs sit differently (ie it may be higher when engaged)

Pull/push - Pull up to engage (will sit proud a bit) push back down to disengage.

I'm used to both, I have push/pulls on my Smithys and push/push on my Ibanez.

Most people seem to find push push easier though.

I like pull push, as often I like to roll down my volume at the same time as splitting the neck bucker, and that's easier to do in one movement with a pull push.. sorta a grab and twist kinda thing lol

Push/push switch: push and it's on, another push and it's off again. You can switch it on and off by just giving a tap on the knob. Just like stomp boxes.

Push/pull: push and it's on, pull and it's off. Pulling takes more time than pushing.

They sound a bit easier to use, although I might not be able to tell at a glance what it is set at, that could be awkward.

Are the push button knobs used on the Fender S1 switching system commercially available?  They look like a neat aesthetic for guitars

Where can I get some push/push knobs, i find frantically using push puls always ends up with holding a knob in your hand :)
