Well Ben wanted to hear this thing, so I decided I'd do a Ben style vid
Got one of these on Saturday for taking to college during free periods, and it turned out to be a lot better than I expected it to be!
Tbh, I just hit record and chatted on with myself whilst playing.. I fudged that Shawn Lane solo and got a little camera conscious hence why I sped up there
Sorry for the short length, the camera won't let me record for longer than 2 mins at a time so I stuck to the sounds I personally like.
Some other things to note about the amp
- it has an aux in so you can plug your walkman into it for a mobile jam machine (you'll need a quarter inch jack plug though)
- it has a record/headphones out that sounds actually not all that bad!
I don't see it replacing my guitarport for recording but if you are a guitarist on a budget in need of a bedroom practise amp/recording solution, don't write off the microcube.
Tbh, the only sound I don't like on it is the recto, it's a bit buzzy sounding and way too harsh... But then again you can't expect a 5 inch 2 watt combo to sound metal can you :P
-
Oh yeah and the main reason I got the thing - it can run on batteries! (6xAA)
20 hours life apparently!
I've only used the 9volt adapter so far though...
Sizewise it fits in my backpack with still enough room for *shudder* text books

Sounds like the ideal practice amp, actually.
You forgot to mention the most important feature: IT CAN RUN ON BATTERIES!!!
Great playing, too. (imo)

Hahaha I remebered just as soon as I'd finished posting

i've got one, thoroughly useful as you can use the "aux in" to use it as a monitor when recording.

I have one as well. It's got some really good sounds.
It's a true closed back amp, the 'full stack' is really bluesy. If you use it with effects pedals it's up there with some £200 amps.
I use it to practise late in the day.

P.S what`s the name of the Shawn Lane track your playing ?

Get you back, although his version is much smoother and doesn't speed up
Cheers for checking out the vid :D
