it really depends howmuch you smile at the person behind the counter.  Obviously they are not supposed to give any leeway, some will because it wont be measured again anyway

I was gonna go for collection at my door. Reckon I should get my older sister to answer the door or me in my eyehategod t-shirt with a beanie?  :P

I bet getting your sister to do it would make everything run a lot smoother.

Based on the high liklihood the collection person will be a bloke, get your sister to do it.

Could allways watch from the window to work it out and then choose who answers the door.

I`ll get her to go out smiling haha. So do they weigh/measure it outside in the van?

That would be somewhat impractical I would have thought.

Dont think they weigh or measure it when they collect at the door. Havent ever done that for me anyway and I've sent loads of stuff through parcelforce collection.

So howcome I`m getting my sister to do it if the collection guy doesn't weigh it? If they are really mean and pick me up on it, it's ANOTHER £15 :(. Worth risking?

They are generally hardest on weight, not so much the size.  I'd be very surprised if you get picked up on being 2cm over the max parcel size.

Pickup is definately your best option, they don't weigh or measure at your door.

And yes, get your sister to wear a top that leaves little to the imagination - things will go very smoothly, ha ha

They emailed me with the labels and said all parcels will be laser scanned at the depot and any that are over the limit will be sent back with a surcharge of £15.

I`m trying to cancel so Zilla can post it via his courier as they have no size limits
