Title: Fulltone OCD or Xotic BB preamp?

Hey guys,
I use zvex box of rock & ts808, loving bor with LP right now, but looking for next gain stage pedal to run
alongside these. Kinda narrowed it down to OCD or BB Preamp. Is BB too similar to BOR or has it a little
more gain( don't need mega high gain)? Anyway, any advice appreciated, Mark.

I would say you should try as many as you can. I don't know about the BB, but the Fulltone is a great OD. If you want an amazing clean boost, the Thundertomate is great.

BB has pretty similar gain to the BoR, but a slightly different character.  Certainly not night and day different though.

I've not tried a BOR, but I've got a BB preamp. It's not a particularly high gain pedal, but has a nice amount of drive for crunchy chord work and blusey lead. It also works very well as a boost for a solo on the amp's drive channel, and reacts very differently depending on what pickups you're using. Certainly well worth trying out.
