Title: Between a Mule and a Miracle Man
Post by: indysmith on September 20, 2005, 06:02:02 PM
I want a hugely high output humbucker that has an overall vintage tone, but can be used for HUGE metal (whilst still sounding a bit PAF). I'd like the power because it'll be in a bolt-on neck, double locking trem Ibanez. So i'd kinda like to be getting a rather thick smooth sound out of it (for a change - dimarzios are soo bright). a few more turns on a Mule? any ideas of alternative models anyone? thanks
I guess kinda like the bridge p'up tone in the mule demo, but with more output, and more thickness, and a soaring(er) high end. Soaringer...thats a word

Not a Mule Indy, it'll be too bright as it's a true PAF replica.
How about the Cold Sweat, it's got a HUGE tone, very vintage and nice and smooth too................

I was thinking about the cold sweats actually as the demo sounded gorgeous, but theres no product description on the site yet. I was a bit puzzled about them to be honest!

They're a new pickup and we haven't updated the site yet as we're redoing the whole site so it made more sense to do it all in one hit.
I've sold them recently simply because I've finished all the testing on them which usually takes about 6 months.I know that sounds a long time but I like to know exactly how a pickup behaves inside and out so I can stand four square behind it.
