I had been planning to get an old Ibanez 540s to fix up, but I stumbled on this 1990 model in Sunset Red that was in good shape and affordable.
It's in great nick for the age and it should arrive on Friday.

very nice :)

Well done! Who needs a beater when you can find one like that? I think I have that same bridge pickup in my 540, is it a Duncan?
-
Looks like a parallel axis trembucker, paired with a Vintage rails and a cool rails (could be a hotrails though)
-
Yep they are Duncans and I think it's a hotrail. I'm not sure until I get it.
I'll give them a chance but it's very likely they may be coming out. Not sure what I'll put in yet. I'll give it a month or so before I decide what to do.

It has arrived a day early YeeHarRRRRRRRRRH!!!!
Single coils will be taken out for a better set as they sound a bit harsh for my tastes. The humbucker sounds good though so will have to think.
This guitar is in such good condition it looks less than 18months old, forget 18 years old.
It has had a refret and a good set-up recently.
There is zero fret wear.
There are 3 small chips on the body but that's it.
I was due to drop lucky, can't remember the last time I got a bargain as good as this. :D :D :D
