He was quality - I think he's pretty underrated as a guitarist.

I have to say, that's a Tele I don't like.  Stripes and guitars don't work for me.

I think this is one we may have to disagree on Philly although if the lines were going the other way I really wouldn't like it. Is that odd?

Saw Seasick Steve live at a festival (I was sat on the edge of the stage about 2 meteres from him) and it was probably the best gig I've ever been too.  Met him afterwards briefly too, he's a dude.

There was a bloke over on the project guitar forums that did a tele taking his inspiration from a boat.  That was lovely, I'll see if I can find the link.

EDIT:  I think it may be the one in theis thread, but I can't see the pics so I could be wrong.

tele's are like a blank canvas - you can pretty much do anything with them.  I like the stripey tele but then i like TV on the radio - especially this one

I bought his first album after reading about him in Guitarist last month, its a very good album i think, and one of the best blues ones i've heard in a bit.

I keep having visions of a guitar with a design I first imagined when I was younger. It's always a tele shape as well - maybe I should get a customer build with a custom paint job. The paint job should be easy as it has the centre of the sun (slightly obscured by the bridge plate) with some nice chunky rays (that get wider the further away from the sun they go) coming out of it. Main background colour is gren, the sun and rays are red with a white outline. Sounds odd but it looks soooo nice in my imagination. Fretboard would be maple - can't picture if there would be a pick guard or not.
