Really not sure if I like it. It has the classic bond hallmarks but also sounds like a White Stripes/Raconteurs song. It may well grow on me.

i like it in a sort of weird way

I like it, then again I like most White Stripes and Raconteurs stuff as well :) That video has pretty much the dullest sound ever though :\
-
Great track!
-
Not my favorite Bond tune but Jack White has an excellent taste in guitars.

Like it..overblown as a bond theme should be is that the billy gibbons model
-
heard it last night, didn't like it. then i hate the white stripes so that's probably not so suprising.
-
I like the track, but it's not a Bond theme!
-
The riff is pure Bond, but the song itself isn't
-
Miss Winehouse should have made the song... I don't care how hard guys would have to work to get her in "decent condition" to compose and sing it... she would brake it in million parts PERIOD

I absolutely agree. I can't think of a better person to do a bond theme than her. With that said I do like the track, and its forced me to buy an Alicia Keys album, something I never thought my CD rack would see.

agreed.

I love Amy Winehouses voice & think she has a great amount of talent, however if she isn't in any kind of state to have done the song, then don't get here to do it. Personally Duffy could have done just as well.
I like Duffy
-
I like her too
-
Sounds good to me but I do like the White Stripes :)
Lovin' that Gretsch 8)
-
Agree with Amy Winehouse.
Dislike the song at a first glance, but then I am sure they'll penetrate us so much with it up and down the radio and TV that even I'll warm up towards it.

I like it, even on only half a listen - though I do agree with the Amy Winehouse comments.
For me though, for a pure song, nothing has come close to "Nobody Does It Better" - when that first came out, it wasn't even obvious it was the theme to the new film, and it was stunning in its own right. (Possibly the Shirley Bassey ones were the same, but they're just a spot too early for me to have come across them like that).
Close second to "Nobody..." (sorry all you Paul McCartney "fans") is Live and Let Die by Wings...
However, this new one does the job for me though. It's up there with Duran Duran and good ole Sheena... (and that's not a put down )

Rant on.
Sorry, I can't stand Amy (Wino) Winehouse anymore.
Too much attitude, too much record company induced drug-using-rockstar imagery. Too much faked pain, sorrow and mysery.
Yes, it's nice to see some jazzy stuff return to the charts but it is such a 'product'.
Winehouse, Duffy and such can't hold a candle to:
Ella Fitzgerald
Billie Holiday
Nina Simone
Listen to those three. There's something in their voices these teenagers don't have. I guess they call that mileage.
Rant over.

Agreed on Billie holiday etc, but seeing as we can't get them to sing the Bond tune...
-
i'm not a major fan of amy, just considering that anyone who's going to be picked to do the theme is likely to be a famous modern popstar, winehouse would seem to be the least worst option...
