The one with Seasick Steve on the cover.
Is anyone else having trouble finding this is in the shops? It was meant to be out almost 2 weeks ago and it's like rocking horse shitee in Newcastle not a single magazine shop has had a copy (So they tell me).
I know ole' seasick is an in thing at the moment but I wouldn't have thought he'd cause a run on a geetar mag...

i read it in WH smiths just the other day.
it is out there.......
-
Hmm the Smiths in the town centre claims not to have had it yet.
-
It's in my local Sainsburys (and the one nearest my work too)
Also the Belfast WH Smiths had it on Saturday

Stop messing about and subscribe :P

It kills a lunch break to wander over and browse and buy whats worthwhile 8)

buy?? whats the point with the intnet being there
-
Maybe it's just a local distribution problem, it seems to happen sometimes. I'm forever missing odd issues of Guitar Player then having to buy them on eBay (from a chap in Germany!).
-
i've got mine... guitar buyer seems to be the bigger problem here, it often doesn't materialise in the shops here in NI until a week after the due date...
-
I got mine in the US last week (but I subscribe!)
-
I subscribe too, had mine for a bit.
-
I haven't looked in it for years, but I "read" this issue in Smiths the other day when looking for something to read on a train journey.
When I saw it was over a fiver and I'd already skim-read the bits I was interested in, I thought "you must be kidding me! I could buy half a guitar pick for that much!"
(In months to come, that might not make sense to the casual observer... I just took delivery of a Red Bear guitar pick yesterday.)

I'd rather buy Guitarist.

Years ago I'd have said the same Philly. But magazines encourage that "hording" or "collecting" urge somewhat, don't they?
I ditched a load of guitar/music related magazines 5 or 6 years ago. Then I filled drawers with cricket related magazines - they're gone as well now.
I only buy a magazine now if I actually want to read most of it. One of the deciders for this one was the Classic Vibe review, my first thought was "ooo yeah, worth it for that", but then when I glanced over the review, and I thought "hang on, I already know all this - I've played the wretched things, and came to exactly the same conclusions..."!

Who me, hoard? Thing is, how can I suddenly stop when I've never missed an issue?!
But I was really saying I'd never spend £10 (or whatever it is) or a Red Bear pick. It wouldn't make me sound any better.
-
I must admit, I surprised myself with the ease with which I went "oh what the hell, it's only a tenner, let's give one a go..." (It was actually something like £12 with the postage)
I've worked out it's got to last "quite a long time" (without wearing down) to justify itself!
It does feel extremely nice, but the free BKP picks (which I fell in love with while using them to prepare myself for the weight/feel) are a VERY close second for me, except that I wear them down in about a week.
But at 6 for £1.50, I make it I can buy 48 BKP picks for the price of one Red Bear... so the Red Bear's got to last 48 weeks at least... and I seriously doubt it can last quite that long!!
By the way, anyone know what thickness BKP ship as a freebie with pickups? I didn't realise they did different ones... (can't believe I've ended up "gassing" for picks  - where will this all end?)

Dunno, they're thicker than my Fender Heavies.... I'd take a guess at 1.2mm.
