Title: Halloween!
Post by: Jamie on October 07, 2008, 04:03:59 PM
I was just wondering if anyone has any halloween gigs lined up? My band has one and we was all thinking of going as fruit but then we realised that our drummer wont be able to sit down, so we are probably going as smurfs instead. We are also doing a metal version of 'Timewarp' as well.

For halloween I have a t-shirt that says CHEAP NINJA COSTUME on the front. The perfect solution for a lazy bar-steward such as myself :P

I once just put a hole in a T shirt and painted red around it, with (dead) underneath :D
A little less cheap maybe though :(

Who gets to be Papa smurf though???

Proabably our vocalist would suit the part more. We was on about making our drummer go as Smurfet because you know, hes a drummer.

I have a Halloween gig- we haven't talked about doing anything for it though ( our drummer is able to carry it off without a costume methinks).

A Zombie band would be awesome, even more if you pretend to be zombies on the stage :D

EDIT:
With that shirt:

Im a big fan of the band Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 but none of the others are keen. They do some awesome songs that would be great for halloween.

I agree fully with this statement.  Go up on stage as zombies and just strum random chords and moan whilst draggin your feet about, that would be a true Halloween concert.  Maybe, for some flavor, incite the crowd to chant "BRAINS...BRAINS..." in a monotone along with the undead band.  That would be sure to piss people off, and thus it is awesome.  There is really no alternative here, you see, this must be done. :)

No exceptions. Period.

I always wanted to do a bunch of Misfits covers at a Halloween party/gig.

I believe that the t-shirt combined with that will be the best costume ever :)
